Delta SkyMiles 2002 Medallion Level Qualification Extension

      To encourage travel on Delta and reward customer loyalty, the time period to re-qualify for Medallion status is being extended for a select group of 2001 Silver Medallion (FO), Gold Medallion (GM), and Platinum Medallion (PM) members. In late January, eligible members will be sent a mailing to advise them of this special offer. The following select members are eligible to earn the status they came closest to reaching in 2001 by flying the specified number of base miles noted below between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2002.

40,000 - 49,999 2001 YTD Base Mile	or	50 - 59 2001 YTD Elite Segments	10,000 base miles between 1/1/02 and 3/31/02 to earn GM status for 2002
90,000 - 99,999 2001 2001 YTD Base Miles	or	95 - 99 2001 YTD Elite Segments	20,000 base miles between 1/1/02 and 3/31/02 to earn PM status for 2002

      Base miles earned between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2002 will also count toward 2003 Silver, Gold, or Platinum Medallion status. Upon qualifying, the base miles earned between January 1 and March 31, 2002 will receive applicable Medallion level bonus miles. If the member status has moved up a level, the account will be updated and credentials mailed at the end of the qualifying week. If the member has re-qualified for the same status they had in 2001, the account update and credential mailing will take place after the promotion has ended.
